SYHPANZ developed the first framework for youth health nursing with the support of the Auckland School Nurses Group and others in the youth health sector. It was published in early 2014.

The National Youth Health Nursing Knowledge and Skills Framework was developed to help nurses, employers and education providers to determine the skills and level of knowledge that are required by nurses working with young people.

Work is now underway, supported by Te Whatu Ora, to update this framework. More about this soon.
